Hair Tips
At F.M.K, we look after your hair. See below some of our sacred tips for having healthy and strong hair.
Don't brush your hair when it's wet
Wet hair is weaker than dry hair, so it’s not optimal to brush it just after you've washed it. If you do though, use a fine-toothed comb. As a general rule, after washing and towel drying your hair, only use a wide-toothed comb to get rid of any knots it if you have to.
Deep condition once a week
A deep hot oil condition once a week improves hair manageability and shine while decreasing breakage. It’s very easy and can become part of your weekly routine.

Take about 1/4 cup of a favorite oil (olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, etc) and heat it until it is warm to the touch but not too hot to burn your hands or your hair (do not use boiling oil).

Then, from root to tip, spread your dry hair with it, using your fingers. Don’t be shy about it, you’ll wash it once or twice later and all the oil wash away.
Brush your hair 100 times a night
Brushing your hair 100 times a night is very beneficial to hair health. Brushing your hair with a good quality brush from root to tip distributes your hair’s natural oils down the hair shaft.

If you do it regularly, it will make your hair shinier, more manageable, and less prone to breakage.

If you can make time to brush the 100 strokes as we recommend, you will be able to eliminate some hair-care products! You should start brushing at the bottom of your hair, and gradually work your way up, until you’re just smoothly brushing from root to tip.
Don't cause damage with heat
When you dry your hair with a hair dryer, put it on a cool setting and hold it away from your hair to protect it from unneccesary heat. Otherwise, the water in your hair can begin to boil if you hold the hair dryer too close.

Hair dryers can have bad effects if you don't use them correctly. Avoid drying your hair with heat as often as you can since it will only age your hair.

Flat irons can cause the same effect or even worse. That’s why we recommend you use heat protection spray when you blow dry your hair.
